Jack White's Admiral Commission on the USS LexingtonSeptember 13, 2006 Texas Governor Rick Perry commissioned Jack White to be an honoree Admiral in the Texas Navy. This honor is bestowed on only a handful of people. In response to the commission Mr. White says, "I am deeply humbled and at the same time floating like a child at Christmas." Mr. White's health remains excellent. He is currently working on the fourth draft of his epic historical novel Ten Years in Texas, which deals with the decade Texas was The Lone Star Republic before becoming the 28th state.

Jack White TravelingIn 1976 Jack White became the Official Texas State Artist. By the end of the millennium he was a master oil painter. An auto accident in 1989 forced Jack to learn to paint with his left hand. In 1996 he accepted the challenge to write a book for artists on marketing their work. Since then he has written five major art marketing books, which are considered by those who have read them the best ever. Jack has completed two murder mysteries; a third is partially finished. Currently he is working on an epic historical novel set in the Republic of Texas between 1835 and 1845. In addition he has been commissioned to write the official story of the Arena Football League. These two books are being written concurrently. Jack White doesn't give appraisals on his paintings or assist in selling them. Click on Gold Leaf Button for appraisal information. Not all emails are answered due to his international traveling and time spent writing books. So if you email and don't get a response please don't get upset. It isn't that your message is not important, time and travel restraints prevent emailing.
